Ozone Solutions

Our ozone solutions integrate seamlessly with your operations, whether it’s a high-care food production line or a wastewater treatment plant. We offer a consultative approach to ensure each system is bespoke and supports your specific hygiene goals – delivering reliable performance and peace of mind.

Innovative Ozone Solutions

Ozone is nature’s most powerful sanitiser and antimicrobial disinfectant. It kills bacteria and viruses like Salmonella, E.coli, Listeria and Norovirus without leaving any chemical residue. Here at Sozones, we harness ozone’s unmatched power to create bespoke gas- and water-phase systems that deliver superior results in a safe and sustainable way.

Ozone Gas

Ozone gas rapidly disinfects rooms, chambers and chillers, allowing your organisation to safely eliminate pathogens without the need for harsh chemicals.

Food & Beverage Disinfection

Ozone Whole Room Disinfection sanitises production areas, chillers and cold storage, eradicating bacteria like Listeria – extending product shelf life.

Industrial Odour Control & Emissions

Ozone based odour abatement solutions neutralise industrial odours and lowers NOx emissions at industrial manufacturing sites.

Ozone Water

Ozonated water quickly kills microorganisms, offering a cleaner alternative to chemicals. In wastewater plants, ozone gas reduces microbes and pollutants effectively.

With years of experience and multiple ozone installations in the UK and Europe, we are confident that we can deliver the perfect ozone solution and expertise to the highest standards.

By working closely with you, we can help you harness one of nature’s most potent oxidants eliminating bacteria, viruses, odours and pollutants.

Operational Efficiency

Ozone delivers rapid disinfection and effective odour control, often cutting cycle times, costs and chemical expenses by up to 50 per cent. Enjoy minimal maintenance and low energy demands.

Expert Consultancy

We customise our ozone gas and water applications to meet your needs. From on-site assessments to system design, commissioning and training, we’re with you every step, ensuring seamless integration.

Bespoke Ozone Solutions, Designed for Your Business.

Whether you need to fog production areas with ozone gas for rapid, chemical-free disinfection, to eradicate Listeria, or add ozonated water as a final disinfection on CIP/ bottle rinse, or neutralise stubborn odours and emissions we’ll design a custom system that fits your facility’s exact footprint and workflow.

Understanding Ozone

Nature’s Powerful Cleanser

Ozone (O₃), also known as “activated oxygen,” is a naturally occurring gas with exceptional cleansing and disinfecting abilities. Here’s a breakdown of how it works and why it’s so effective.

Ozone is created when oxygen in the air interacts with electricity or UV light. This happens naturally during lightning storms or when solar radiation splits oxygen molecules (O₂), allowing free oxygen atoms to combine with other O₂ molecules—forming ozone (O₃). This reactive gas is one of nature’s most powerful oxidants.

As the second most powerful oxidant known, ozone is highly unstable and reactive. When it encounters organic material, it quickly decays back to oxygen (O₂), releasing a single, highly reactive oxygen atom. This atom aggressively attacks bacteria and viruses, disrupting their membranes and cellular functions—leading to rapid destruction and cell death.

Ozone doesn’t just disinfect—it also deodorizes. When it reacts with Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), including odours, the free oxygen atom oxidises these compounds, breaking them down into harmless byproducts like carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O).

Ozone Gas: Key Properties

Artificially generated ozone is just as effective as that naturally occurring. It can be generated in very high concentrations but should be carefully controlled. Here at Specialised Ozone Solutions we generate ozone using Cold Plasma technology – dielectric barrier discharge.
