What is Ozone?

Ozone is a highly reactive gas made up of three oxygen atoms (O₃). Naturally formed in the Earth’s atmosphere, ozone protects us from harmful UV radiation, and when harnessed correctly, it becomes one of nature’s most powerful tools for eliminating bacteria, viruses, mould and odours.

Its strength lies in its instability: ozone breaks down quickly, releasing free oxygen atoms that oxidise and destroy harmful contaminants. Its half-life is typically around 20 minutes, but this depends on temperature, humidity and the material or environment it’s used in.
